Dr. Kingsley Agyeman has described the rise in non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Ghana as a major national crisis, warning that it requires long-term, strategic solutions. He argued that the proposed “Mahama Cares” initiative is not sufficient to address the problem, stressing the need for stronger preventive healthcare, public education, and improved health systems to tackle the growing burden of NCDs.
