At least 13 people have been killed in a fatal road crash involving a Ford Transit and a Toyota Hiace on the Sege-Ada Highway.
The accident occurred on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, as the two vehicles were reportedly travelling from Sege towards Ada.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), 18 people were involved in the crash, with 13 losing their lives.
Firefighters from the Sege Fire Station responded to the incident and assisted with the rescue and management of the casualties.
The remaining five victims sustained critical injuries and were conveyed to the Sege Polyclinic, where they are receiving medical treatment.
The accident was confirmed in a Facebook post by Assistant Divisional Officer (ADO) Alex King Nartey of the Public Relations Department of the GNFS Headquarters.
He expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured victims a speedy and full recovery.
The cause of the accident and the identities of those who died have not yet been disclosed.
