New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Treasurer aspirant Collins Nuntwiri Nuamah has temporarily suspended his campaign after the vehicle transporting him and his campaign team was involved in an accident on the Kwahu Ridge.
The incident occurred at about 8:30pm on Saturday, September 5, 2026, as Mr Nuamah and members of his campaign team were returning from campaign activities in the Afram Plains North and South areas.
The vehicle was reportedly heading towards Anyinam, where the aspirant was scheduled to continue his campaign on Sunday, September 6.
His planned activities were expected to cover the Atiwa East and West constituencies before the campaign moved to the Kwahu Bloc.
However, following the accident, the campaign team announced a temporary suspension of all campaign activities to enable Mr Nuamah to seek medical attention.
The team said further information about his condition, as well as details regarding the resumption of the campaign, would be communicated at a later date.
Mr Nuamah is among the aspirants cleared to contest the NPP’s 2026 National Treasurer position.
