A 41-year-old Accounts Clerk at Klo-Agogo Senior High School in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region, Saviour Attor, has been arrested and detained by the police over the alleged defilement of a 15-year-old female Junior High School student.
The case was reported at the Obawale Police Station on September 15, 2026, by the victim’s grandfather, with assistance from the Assembly Member for the area, according to a report by 3News.
Following the complaint, the grandfather, the Assembly Member and police officers proceeded to Attor’s residence, where he was arrested and subsequently handed over to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) for further investigation.
In her statement to the police, the victim alleged that Attor sent her to purchase a sachet of water before forcibly having unprotected sexual intercourse with her at his residence.
She was subsequently referred to a health facility for medical examination, with the findings expected to form part of the evidence being considered by investigators.
The police said Attor, in his cautioned statement, admitted to having sexual intercourse with the girl at his residence.
He remains in police custody as investigations into the alleged offence continue.
