The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has launched a search for Frank Danquah, born on September 11, 1978, in connection with investigations into suspected narcotics-related offences.
The Commission declared Danquah wanted in a public notice published on its official Facebook page on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, and appealed to members of the public to assist in locating him.
NACOC said anyone with information that could help establish Danquah’s whereabouts should contact the Commission through its toll-free number, 0800 307 307.
The Commission did not disclose the specific offence for which Danquah is wanted or provide details about the investigation involving him.
It is also unclear from the notice whether Danquah is being sought in connection with an ongoing court case or a separate investigation.
NACOC’s wanted-persons records indicate that individuals may be sought over offences covered by the Narcotics Control Commission Act, 2020 (Act 1019). These include the unlawful importation or exportation of narcotic drugs, unlawful possession or control of narcotic substances and other prohibited activities involving narcotic drugs or plants.
The announcement comes amid heightened scrutiny of suspected international narcotics trafficking activities involving Ghana.
A separate investigation is currently underway following the seizure in France of about 3.9 tonnes of suspected cocaine allegedly transported from Ghana to Dunkirk earlier in September.
Six people have reportedly been remanded in connection with that case, while French prosecutors have raised concerns about the clearance of four containers linked to the shipment after they reportedly underwent scanning at the Tema Port.
According to prosecutors, the scan images contained abnormalities, although the containers were subsequently cleared for export.
NACOC, however, has not linked Frank Danquah to the suspected cocaine shipment to France, and there is currently no official indication that he is among the six people remanded in that case.
For now, the Commission’s September 22 notice only establishes that Danquah is wanted as part of investigations into suspected narcotics-related offences, with further details yet to be made public.
