MultiChoice Ghana has announced a new DStv pricing structure, with monthly subscription packages starting at GH¢50 from November 5, 2026, following an intervention by the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George.
The new packages were announced at a joint press conference involving the Minister and MultiChoice Ghana on Monday, October 26, 2026, where the company outlined the revised pricing arrangement aimed at offering subscribers more affordable options.
Mr George’s intervention forms part of efforts to address concerns over DStv subscription costs and improve affordability for Ghanaian subscribers.
Under the new structure, customers will have access to monthly packages starting at GH¢50, with the revised prices expected to take effect on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
According to MultiChoice Ghana Country CEO Alex Okyere, the packages are designed to offer subscribers different channel selections and content options based on their budgets and viewing preferences.
The four packages comprise the Starter Pack at GH¢50 per month, the Select Pack at GH¢100, the Sports Pack at GH¢250 and the Ultimate Pack at GH¢570.
The Starter Pack is the entry-level option, offering subscribers access to 90 channels for GH¢50 monthly.
The Select Pack, priced at GH¢100 per month, provides 123 channels, giving subscribers a wider selection of television content.
The Sports Pack costs GH¢250 monthly and is targeted at football fans, with football coverage alongside channels available on the Starter and Select packages.
At the premium end, the Ultimate Pack costs GH¢570 per month and combines entertainment programming with premium sports coverage.
The introduction of the new packages provides subscribers with a range of options, from lower-priced channel offerings to a premium package combining sports and entertainment.
