A fire outbreak has destroyed 11 of the 23 rooms in a compound house at Anlo Town, near the Old Slaughter House, in the New Juaben North Municipality.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said in a Facebook post on Friday, November 6, that a 10-member crew from the New Juaben North Municipal Fire Station was dispatched to the scene.
The firefighters successfully contained the blaze and extinguished it before it could spread to neighbouring properties.
Although no further details were provided about casualties, the fire destroyed several personal belongings, two electric motorbikes and a bicycle.
The GNFS said access to the affected building had been restricted over concerns about its structural stability.
Senior officers from the Fire and Police Services also visited the scene, while investigations have begun to determine the cause of the outbreak.
