Electricity supply has been restored to several communities hit by the recent power outage, while engineers from the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) continue working to reconnect customers who are still without power.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, Richmond Rockson, said GRIDCo’s technical teams remain deployed across affected areas, working to restore electricity safely and efficiently.
In an update posted on Facebook, Mr Rockson noted that considerable progress has been achieved, with power returning to a number of locations affected by the disruption.
He explained that restoration operations are still ongoing in other areas, assuring residents that all necessary steps are being taken to return electricity to every affected community while ensuring the safety of workers and maintaining the reliability of the national power system.
Mr Rockson apologised for the inconvenience caused by the outage and thanked customers for their patience, cooperation and understanding during the restoration process.
He reiterated that restoring power supply to all affected areas remains the priority of GRIDCo and the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition.
