The Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse, has paid a working visit to the Authority’s Ashanti Regional Office, where she urged staff to uphold the integrity of the institution and discharge their duties with diligence.
Addressing staff during the visit, Prof. Browne Klutse commended them for their dedication and the work they continue to do to protect Ghana’s environment.
She stressed the importance of maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, noting that every action and statement made in the course of their work could have legal implications.
Prof. Browne Klutse therefore encouraged the staff to be meticulous in their duties, particularly in areas involving regulatory decisions and quality control and assurance.
“Every word has legal implications. Let us work diligently and ensure that our actions reflect the standards and values of the Authority,” she urged.
The EPA CEO also called on staff to work collectively to safeguard the reputation of the institution, stressing that protecting the integrity of the EPA also meant protecting their own professional integrity as officials of the Authority.
She said the Authority’s credibility depended largely on the professionalism, transparency and commitment of its staff, and urged them to remain focused on their mandate of protecting the environment.
Prof. Browne Klutse further commended the Ashanti Regional Director and the regional team for their work and assured them of the continued support of the Authority in the discharge of their responsibilities.
She encouraged the staff to remain diligent and committed to their duties as the EPA strengthens its operations and environmental regulatory functions across the country.
“Let us work hard to protect the integrity of the EPA and our own integrity as EPA officials,” she added.
