Adanwomasehene adopts16-year-old Kofi Sarpong, pledges full scholarship and welfare support

In an extraordinary display of generosity and commitment to youth empowerment, the Chief of Adanwomase and revered royal of the Asantehene, Nana Dr Kwadwo Ntiamoah Panin II, has officially adopted 16-year-old Kofi Sarpong, a promising first-year student at Adanwomase Senior High School (SHS).

Kofi Sarpong, a resident of Atimatim Maase, caught the attention of the traditional ruler through his remarkable resilience and determination.

Despite his small physical stature and modest background, Sarpong’s strong desire to pursue secondary education inspired Nana Dr Ntiamoah Panin II to intervene and relieve the young student’s family of the financial burden associated with his education.

Comprehensive Sponsorship

At a ceremony held at his private residence, the Adanwomasehene announced a full three-year academic scholarship for Sarpong, covering his tuition and study expenses at Adanwomase SHS.

In addition to the scholarship, the chief provided the student with essential learning materials, including a school bag, stationery and mathematical sets. He also gave him a cash stipend to cover his daily living expenses throughout his first academic year.

“When I first met Kofi Sarpong, his passion and resolve deeply moved me. I immediately felt compelled to champion his educational journey,” Nana Dr Ntiamoah Panin II said.

He added, “I have absolute confidence that with the right support, he will excel academically and emerge as an impactful, responsible leader in our society.”

Expression of Gratitude

Accompanied by his parents, an emotional Kofi Sarpong expressed profound gratitude to his royal benefactor and pledged to honour the chief’s support through dedication to his studies.

His parents also praised Nana Dr Ntiamoah Panin II for the intervention, describing the scholarship as a life-changing opportunity for their son.

“We are utterly overwhelmed by the immense generosity of Nana Dr Ntiamoah Panin II,” they said.

They added, “Nana’s decision to extend such a comprehensive scholarship to our son is a profound blessing. Words cannot express our gratitude, and we remain eternally indebted to Nana for his extraordinary kindness.”
