In a statement released on Saturday, June 6, the company stated that there is no disagreement between the Board, led by Chairman Kofi Totobi Quakyi, and the management team. It emphasised that both parties continue to work collaboratively, guided by professionalism, mutual respect, and a common commitment to advancing the organisation’s objectives.

According to Ghana Gas, suggestions of a power struggle or internal conflict are completely unfounded and appear to be part of attempts to sow discord and erode public confidence in the leadership of the state-owned enterprise.

The company stressed that its corporate governance framework remains intact and that management and the Board are focused on fulfilling the organisation’s mandate within Ghana’s energy sector.

Addressing concerns over recent staff promotions, management explained that 50 employees benefited from the exercise, which formed part of a carefully planned process designed to address delayed career advancement, support organisational restructuring, and promote employee development.

The company noted that the promotions were carried out following extensive internal consultations and with the full approval and oversight of the Board of Directors. It therefore rejected claims that the process was irregular or had caused friction within the organisation.

Ghana Gas also pointed to recent operational achievements, revealing that gas production throughput has risen from an average of approximately 100 million standard cubic feet per day to about 120 million standard cubic feet per day.

The increase, the company said, has improved gas supply to downstream consumers, strengthened the country’s energy security, enhanced stability within the power sector, and helped reduce fuel costs for power producers and industrial users.

Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, accountability, and sound corporate governance, Ghana Gas stated that both the Board and management remain united in pursuing the company’s strategic goals and supporting Ghana’s broader energy development agenda.
