Three foreign nationals have been arrested in Ghana following intelligence linking them to a cocaine consignment seized in Lebanon.
The suspects, comprising Syrian, Tunisian and Lebanese nationals, were arrested by the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) following intelligence shared by Lebanese law enforcement authorities.
According to NACOC, the arrests form part of intelligence-led operations and ongoing investigations by Ghanaian and Lebanese security agencies to identify individuals connected to an international drug trafficking network.

The operation is aimed at tracking down persons suspected to be involved in the cocaine consignment seized in Lebanon and establishing the extent of their involvement in the illicit trade.

NACOC says the arrests highlight the growing security cooperation and intelligence-sharing between Ghana and Lebanon as both countries intensify efforts to tackle transnational drug trafficking.
The Commission has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening international partnerships and collaboration with law enforcement agencies to combat illicit drug trafficking and organised crime.
