Kwame Baffoe, widely known as Abronye DC, has retained his position as Bono East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after securing victory in the party’s regional executive elections.
Abronye polled 201 votes to defeat four other candidates in the elections held on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
His re-election gives him another mandate to lead the party’s regional administration and coordinate its activities as the NPP works to strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In his new term, Abronye is expected to work closely with constituency executives to mobilise supporters, coordinate party activities and implement directives from the national leadership.
His victory forms part of the NPP’s ongoing internal reorganisation aimed at rebuilding and consolidating the party’s structures across the country.
Meanwhile, Kofi Ofosu Boateng was elected Regional Secretary after obtaining 187 votes, while Abdul Razak Oppong won the Regional Organiser position with 229 votes.
The newly elected executives are expected to assume responsibility for the party’s affairs in the Bono East Region and support efforts to strengthen its grassroots mobilisation and organisational capacity ahead of the 2028 elections.
