NPP Asante Mampong Parliamentary Aspirant Nana Yaa is dead

Beatrice Owarewa Siaw, popularly known as Nana Yaa, an NPP parliamentary aspirant for the Asante Mampong Constituency, has reportedly passed away.

According to a report by Asaase News on Facebook, a source close to the politician disclosed that she died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. However, details surrounding her death, including the cause, remain unclear.

Nana Yaa, who was a member of the NPP Council of Patrons, was also known as a businesswoman and philanthropist with a strong presence in the Asante Mampong Constituency.

She had been actively campaigning to secure the NPP parliamentary candidacy for the constituency and had outlined an agenda focused on industrialisation, employment opportunities and the empowerment of young people.

The businesswoman had also stated that she had invested more than GH¢40 billion in the constituency as part of efforts to contribute to its socio-economic development.

As of the time of publication, neither the New Patriotic Party nor Nana Yaa’s family had officially confirmed reports of her death.
