The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has confirmed that a fault on its distribution network has caused a power outage in parts of the Tema Region, leaving several communities without electricity.
In a statement released on Monday, August 3, 2026, the company said the disruption has impacted Q-Farms, Jordan City, Santor, Aunty Araba, Agbeshie Laryea, Nelplast, Kubekro, Katamanso, Level 400 and surrounding areas.
ECG explained that its technical team has been deployed to investigate the cause of the fault and undertake repair works to restore power supply to the affected communities as soon as possible.
The power distributor apologised for the inconvenience the outage has caused and expressed appreciation to customers for their patience and cooperation while engineers work to resolve the problem.
ECG assured residents that every effort is being made to restore electricity safely and promptly.
