One person has died while 14 others sustained injuries in a road crash on the Accra-Kumasi Highway near Paradise Restaurant at Bunso in the Eastern Region.
The accident occurred on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and involved a MAN Diesel truck and a Toyota Hiace.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the truck reportedly veered into the opposite lane while attempting to give way to a Toyota Vitz, resulting in a collision with the Toyota Hiace.
Personnel from the Bunso Fire Station quickly responded to the scene and rescued victims who were trapped in the vehicles.

The firefighters also helped retrieve the personal belongings of the victims and cleared the wreckage from the road to restore normal traffic flow.
One person was confirmed dead, while 14 others sustained various degrees of injury and were taken for medical attention.

The cause of the crash is yet to be fully established, with investigations expected to determine the circumstances leading to the collision.
